Who doesn't love a good Q & A? I found some fun questions to answer. Get to know me better!
Who is your hero?
My dad. He gave us the most amazing upbringing, and has been the best dad anyone could ever ask for. He has so much strength, but not afraid to show when he is weak. He grew up a certain way which was difficult, but he made changes for my sister and I. He is a pretty amazing guy.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Hawaii, but more realistically I picture my family on a farm. Growing fresh produce, making and selling fresh baked goods. I'd love a farm, or a cabin in the woods.
What is your biggest fear?
Death. Death scares me, as it does for many others. The fear of loosing my girls, husband or anyone close to me is terrifying. Also, spiders. Those things are fast and creepy.
What is your favorite family vacation?
Niagara Falls always proves for a great time; Great Wolf Lodge or Clifton Hill. Most stand out vacation was a recent trip camping at KOA. It was a great trip with my family, and so many laughs. Taste the rainbow, SEE the rainbow.
What would you change about yourself if you could?
How deeply I care about other people. I find I am the one who usually ends up getting hurt. I like being compassionate, don't get me wrong. I want to learn how to not let it lessen my life for the benefit of others. Also, my spending habits!
What really makes you angry?
Inconsiderate people. The people who cut in front of you at the grocery store. The people who don't let you cross the crosswalk. The people who are rude to others because their burger wasn't just right. The people who throw their Tim's cup out their car window. I cannot stand people who do not have respect for others, and their surroundings.
What motivates you to work hard?
My girls, obviously.
What did you want to be when you were small?
When I was really little, I wanted to be a vet BUT with a sign out front that said "No Snakes or Spiders" After that, I moved onto a Dolphin Trainer. Once I became older, I had an interest in Dental Hygiene.
If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
Basically my most recent trip away with my girlfriend. There was wine, a hot tub, girl talk and food. It was perfect.
What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play?
Not a big sports fan, but I'd say hockey since I grew up with it always on in the house.
Would you rather ride a bike, ride a horse, or drive a car?
Drive a car with music as loud as possible!
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
You'd think Hanson, but I'd rock an Ashlee Simpson song. That's my girl, gotta represent.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oooo, this is hard. I'll say Chicken Alfredo, because a pasta meal is always served with wine.
Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?
Sammy, Sam, Sammy J. Nothing too exciting. Actually, I do have a funny nickname story. Sometimes my family (mostly my dad) calls me Slammy Sammy. Story time: I use to play soccer, and pretty well too. I had gotten my belly button pierced a week before a game. During this game, I went to hit the soccer ball with my belly, but quickly remembering I shouldn't do that. So instead, I slammed down on the ground and looked like an idiot. Hence, Slammy Sammy.
Do you like or dislike surprises? Why or why not?
Good surprises, I love! Anything that can bring a smile to my face, I am all for.
In the evening, would you rather play a game, visit a relative, watch a movie, or read?
Watch a movie, but rather a show.
Would you rather vacation in Hawaii or Alaska, and why?
100% Hawaii because I hate the cold.
Would you rather win the lottery or work at the perfect job? And why?
Win the lottery, that way I could open up my perfect job; a bakery.
Who would you want to be stranded with on a deserted island?
My husband
If money was no object, what would you do all day?
Shop, all day, every day. I'd take my girls out to different activities, go on trips, see the world!
If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?
2010 area. That was a time where Justin and I were out on our own with no kids, hosting parties, going out for dinner. We had a group of six of us, we were called "The Sexy Six" Okay, it was only us who referred to us by that name..
How would your friends describe you?
Kind, fun and social.
Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
I'll say the cliche family, but to get to know me lets say a razor. I cannot STAND hair, especially on my legs.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see us in our forever home, with the girls running around in the backyard.
How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Not as many as I once had! Thanks to my feet growing .5 size during pregnancy. A friend of mine is a size 6.5, so she gets all my ones that don't fit! I'd guess around 40.
If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
Teleportation. I am not a fan of cars, or planes, or boats and most likely trains too. I'd love to skip the travel part!
What would you do if you won the lottery?
Depending on amount; give some to family and friends, take the girls on a trip (hopefully my super-hero power works by this time), buy a forever home.
What's your favorite zoo animal?
I really love the beauty of Zebras, but am amazed by the size and movement of Bears.
If you could go back in time to change one thing, what would it be? How much I allowed people to walk all over me. I wish I had found my backbone sooner.
If you could share a meal with any 4 individuals, living or dead, who would they be?
Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson, and my sister Melanie. We'd love to sit down with these three brothers
How many pillows do you sleep with?
One, a specific one recommended by my Chiropractor. What's the tallest building you've been to the top in?
Most likely a hotel, I can't work up the nerve to go into a tall building!! My husband tried to take me to the CN tower for a date. I could not work up the nerve to go up that scary monster of a tower.
Have you ever had a secret admirer?
I have! It was in Elementary school, I would get little notes left everywhere but never knew who it was from (duh, that's what a secret admirer is Sam) Until one day, my secret admirer came forward. She was afraid of coming out as a lesbian, which lead to the secret admirer way of communicating. I swing one way, so her and I were just friends.
What is your favourite holiday?
Thanksgiving. I love the colours, the smells, the food and family gathering together.
What is the most daring thing you've ever done?
It wouldn't be much of anything, seeing as I am scared of my own shadow. I'd say cliff diving.
What book at you reading?
My girlfriend just gifted me a book for my birthday that I am reading called The Magic of Motherhood.
Are you a clean or messy person?
Clean. If my space is clean, so is my mind!
How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Depends if I do the cheating hair in a bun, or actually do my hair. Bun days 20 minutes, nice hair more like 30-40 minutes.
What kitchen appliance do you use daily?
Um, all LOL My kettle gets a lot of use, I love tea.
What is a pet peeve of yours?
You know what I can't stand? Going to the hair dressers. They are usually so pushy on you to spend more money. I know I have grey hair coming through, I don't need you to tell me I should colour my hair because it looks awful. I love my silver highlights, thank you very much!
What's your favourite fast food chain?
McDonalds is our most visited, but Dairy Queen would be my pick!
Do you love or hate rollercoasters?
LOVE, but hate waiting in the lines for them.
What's your favourite family tradition?
My dad gifts us an ornament every Christmas eve, usually with some significance to that year.
What's your favourite movie?
Bridesmaids. Best movie ever!
Have you been to a concert?
Concerts are my favourite place to be! I have been to SOO many concerts.

How old were you when you found out Santa wasn't real?
Way too old, I don't remember an exact age but I know I should have known sooner (I am a very gullible person)
What was your favourite subject in school?
Wasn't a fan of school, music stands out the most to me. We had a very strict but amazing music teacher who was very talented. I remember her singing for us a lot
What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten?
I am an extremely picky eater, so nothing insane. I tried Sushi once, almost threw up.
Do you collect anything?
Do shoes and throw blankets count?
Which of the five senses would you say is your strongest?
Smell. Since being pregnant, I smell everything.
Have you ever had a surprise party?
I have! An engagement surprise party, it was amazing.
Are you related, or distantly related to anyone famous?
My Great Uncle Ron is very close with NHL player Chris Neil. Ron has published many books, one of them all about Chris Neil.
Do you have any tattoos? If so, what and why?
I do! I have 7, I never realized it was an odd number...now I need another..
"Don't walk away" on my foot from my favourite Rocket Summer song "Goodbye waves and driveways" It reminds me to not give up.
"Love" on my inner ankle. It's a sister tattoo

What do you do to keep fit?
Running after kids. I'm also just starting to get fit, and I love doing Yoga with Adriene.
If you had a warning label, what would it say?
Warning: Expensive (my husband answered this one for me)
What song would you say best sums you up?
My husband has always said Brad Paisley- She's Everything reminds him of me. Especially "One glass of wine and she's feeling kinda tipsy"
What celebrity would you like to meet at Starbucks for a cup of coffee?
I hate coffee, so I'd first meet for tea. I find Dwayne Johnson so interesting. I would love to sit down with him and chat.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how funny do you think you are?
When I am alone, I am for sure a 10. With others, maybe a 6.
What was your first job?
Giant Tiger.
If you could join any musical group, past or present, who would you join?
Um, Hanson. I'd join as a support person, as I have zero musical talents. Listening to them live every night would be a dream
Who knows you the best?
My husband, Justin. I can't hide a thing from him, he knows me way too well.

I am working at bettering myself; physically and mentally.

Not to toot my own horn, but I make a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. It's amazing.

Love both, but cats will always hold a special place in my heart

Who is your celebrity crush?
Ryan Gosling. That is a beautiful man. Here's a photo of him, because he is just perfect.
